Our Ronald McDonald Family Room Canberra is a free, comfortable, and welcoming space within a hospital, designed for families of children receiving medical care to relax, recharge, and connect with their loved ones

The room, located on Level 1 in the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children in Canberra, offers light snacks and meals, a TV, lounge, bathroom and shower, laundry facilities, and a selection of games and activities. The room is open to anyone visiting the hospital with a child undergoing treatment, whether for a few hours or days.

We want to make sure families have a ‘home away from home’ inside the hospital, away from the clinical environment of the ward.

That’s why our Family Room is purpose built for the free and exclusive use of parents, carers, guardians and their families with kids undergoing inpatient or outpatient treatment at the Centenary Hospital for Women & Children.

Opening hours are varied depending on volunteer availability. Please ring the team if you’d like to find out the latest hours on 6281 5894.

Absolutely! The Family Room is available for use by families currently staying at Ronald McDonald House Canberra.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, all services and use of the Ronald McDonald House Family Room is free for all families.
